St Patricks Weekend in Dublin 14th – 18th March

St Patricks Weekend in Dublin 14^th – 18^thMarch – a weekend not to be missed!!

On Thursday the 14^th of March, why not join in with the live music and street performances at various locations throughout the city, the city is going green, many iconic buildings will be turning green for the celebrations, custom house and the convention centre have been confirmed to take part.  Learn about the history of t Patrick and take part in the Footsteps of St Patricks Walking Tour.  Dance and laugh the day away with the Trad stage and comedy night planned.

On Friday the 15^th of March, why not take the kids to the City at Play Funfair, attend the interesting talk about Global History of the Irish Abroad or attend the I love my city – short film showcase. 

On Saturday the 16^th of March, why not view the film, the secret of Kells at Temple Bar; bring the kids to the story teller at the Museum to hear about the wonder of snakes.  Take part in the St Patricks Festival 5K Road Race, cheer on at The Gannon Cup – Irish University Boat Races, take a trip down memory lane at the Some Forgotten Unforgettable Irish talk and maybe later that night at 8.30pm attend the Ceili House Live at The National Concert Hall.

On Sunday the 17^th of March, you will have an action packed day in Dublin

10.00am – City of Play – Funfair at Custom House Quay

11.00am – The People’s Parade

This will be a very special event – as part of The Gathering Ireland 2013 for the first time ever, St Patricks Festival will be inviting up to 8,000 people around the world to march in the Parade in Dublin.  The peoples parade is a once in a lifetime opportunity!

12.00pm – St Patricks Festival Parade

The parade will start at Parnell Square and will continue to O’Connell Street and over O’Connell Bridge to Westmoreland Street.  It then winds its way down Dame Street and Lord Edward Street passes by Christchurch Cathedral and along Patrick Street where it finishes just past St. Patrick’s Cathedral.

There are many more events on the day such as; Irish Craft Beer Festival, St Patricks Walking Tour, Live music and street performance at various locations throughout the city and finally why not attend the fantastic  Stockton’s Wing at the National Concert Hall.

On Monday the 18^th of March, there will be a Festival Treasure Hunt, The Nightmare Club, City ay Play Funfairs and the Irish Craft Beer Festival and St Patricks Walking Tour to attend.

The Over 50’s show took place last weekend in the RDS in Dublin. (12^th – 14^th October)

Over 17,000 people attended the three day event in Dublin. 

This is the ninth annual Over 50’s Show at the RDS. 

We had a stand at the show promoting the Bewley’s and Moran Hotel Group.  There were a number of great deals available on the day;

The Festival is coming to the RDS in Dublin on the 7th of September till the 9th of September.  It is a weekend you don't want to miss!

This weekend celebrates the Irish craft brewing, live music and some great Irish artisan food stalls.

Featuring approximately 20 craft brewers, both local and "guest" breweries, the festival is expected to attact over 5,000 attendees throughout the weekend.  This year, the team is looking forward to showcasing niche brands, new products and pipe-line products, as well as providing craft-beer lovers with technical advice on brewing and the opportunity to meet the brewers.

For the first time, the festival will launch with a one-of-a-kind beer and food pairing evening on the 6th September, offering guests the opportunity to learn more about the different attributes and traits of Irish Craft Beers as well as providing a deeper understanding on which foods compliment different types of craft beers.

The Tall Ships Race 2012 is coming to Dublin this weekend...

The race started in France and will travel across the Bay of Biscay to Lisbon, Portugal before carrying on to Spain.  The race will then travel north of the Irish Sea and will arrive in Dublin. 
The Tall Ships Races 2012 - Dublin event will take place from the 23rd of August to the 26th of August.

The excitement is brewing in Dublin this weekend, there are a number of great activities and events which are all FREE as part of the Tall Ships Festival. 

This is a weekend you don't want to miss out on!

There is a such a wide selection of activities and events to choose from over the weekend, catch a movie on the floating cinema, take part in the battle of the winds water sports, head to the bulmers live music dock to check out some great bands, head to the Festival hub for an exhibition on Irish culture or just sit back and enjoy the scenery of the Tall Ships arriving into Dublin.
